Anyone can write a review, so on most apps it costs nothing to fake one. Chooza weighs a review by whether the person was actually there: a GPS-verified visit counts, and one who arrived and stayed counts more. A business can spend money to get people through its door — that is what a promotion is — but nothing it spends moves a score without a real, geofenced visit by a real person, and no amount of it buys what those people then say. Buying fake reviews pushes a score down, not up.
